Tweeks & Upgrades
This is another way to get fancy. Once you have your pages down and you have a basic site down, lets look at making it do fun things like adding a pop up to collect leads…or ways to check who comes to your site and when is the best time to post…etc. These methods are called “PLUGINS”. I didn’t know plug ins were a thing when I started designing LivingAmped.com. This click lead to this post which lead to this post and so on till I figured it out. I got really fancy with them which also got super annoying, but its fixed now. Google defines plugins as, “A plugin is a piece of software that acts as an add-on to a web browser and gives the browser additional functionality. Plugins can allow a web browser to display additional content it was not originally designed to display.” Super confusing if you ask this non-nerd. But there is value to them…lets take a look.
You can add them to your site by: clicking on Plugins (left menu bar) —> Add New
There are SO MANY to chose from. Just depends on what you want to do and what you want to accomplish. Best part is, most of them are for free dollars. Each once comes with instructions on how to make it work. Youtube is also a great help.
Don’t get too crazy but go add some fun bells and whistles to the site YOU made…I’m so proud of you!
