Think Twice…

6packBagsIt is true, I pack an ice chest (a 6pack Bags to be exact, I suggest the bigger one because your larger shaker bottles won’t fit into the smaller one) most days of the week. There are some days I leave my casa at 5am and don’t return till after I coach at 6pm. Carrying an ice chest allows me to stay on track with nutrition without having to drive back and forth to my home OR spend a lot of money stopping for food on the go.

In addition to my food, water and shaker bottles I keep an Advocare meal Replacement Shake on hand for back up and or as a choice…because they just taste that good! A lot of the time they ARE my meal choice…simple easy to make on the go, ESPECIALLY when traveling (I 2 boxes when I traveled to Costa Rica). Next time you want to stop for fast food, think twice before you pull into the drive through…is it worth it?

APPLE NACHOS

There may be certain aspects of life that you do not have direct control over, but what ends up in your mouth is not one of them!

You control what you eat.

When faced with choosing junk food or not, exercise your right to choose wisely and your body and waistline will thank you for it. Remember each day is a new beginning, and it starts out with no mistakes in it.

Begin each morning with the resolve to not only stick with your healthy eating habits, but your lifestyle changes as well. Try the recipe below if you are looking for a treat, but still want to keep it clean and reach your goals.

APPLE NACHOS

Ingredients:

  • apples
  • fresh lemon juice
  • almond butter
  • dark chocolate chips (optional)
  • unsweetened shredded coconut
  • sliced almonds

Directions:

  1. slice apples and toss with the lemon juice in a large bowl
  2. arrange the apples in a plate and drizzle with almond butter. You can use a pastry/piping bag or a ziploc bag to drizzle the almond butter.
  3. sprinkle with shredded coconut, dark chocolate chips and sliced almonds

Couple this with a regular fitness routine and you will find that reaching and maintaining your goal weight is easier than ever.
