    • Start natural with:
      • Omega 3 – fish oil
      • Probiotic
      • Yeast (check)
  • They are ALL against antibiotics

Some Products I tried:

Paleo Powder – The only seasoning I use…not kidding…it goes great on EVERYTHING. Good news they just got into HEB so you get it there, CM or you can

MuffinElse – they actually are not bad, but I don’t want anyone getting the wrong idea of “muffins”

YumButter – sold at target and easy to transfer. I liked the cashew one the best. BUT I have to control my almond butter because I will eat the whole thing easily. This thing would be gone in a day…in its cute little pouch.

Rootz  – this actually was pretty good and the concept was awesome. I like pre-workout. However I try to keep my “diet” pretty natural AND encourage everyone else too, but like this guy my supplements are well supplements and getting back to that real food idea was always haunting.

Eatology – not bad and out of Bryan. You can get Zone meals sent to you too!

  • Fixed vs Growth Mindset
    • Growth = hard work = success or learning
    • Fixed = told no (ie told not athletic as a child therefore as an adult never plays a pick up game)
    • Fixed = something to be avoided because it failed = failure
  • How do you develop these mindsets?
    • Enemy of success is comfort. Once you get uncomfortable it can become a habit.

Paleo Fx 2016 Day 3’s Notes (Final Day)

Paleo FX 2016 Day 1’s Notes

Huge thanks to R for the fancy ticket so I could attend Paleo FX 2016 this year! The ticket I was given allowed me into pretty much everything…which is the ONLY way to go. There were a lot of times that 2 speakers/sessions were going on at the same time, so I would either do half and half (which meant getting to the speaker early to find a seat on the end so I could slip out and go to another, this was common) or commit to one with the intention of going back and watching the other on the internet later.

SHOULD you get the experience to attend Paleo FX in the future some things…in no particular order…I would suggest:

  • Download and navigate with their app. Create your schedule on there.
  • Wear workout clothes…incase you want to jump into one of the workouts…or the sessions are so crowded you have to sit on the floor. At least wear comfortable shoes.
  • Bring a backpack. (I looked like a pack mule all weekend). I was able to carry my water, notebook, and any products I sampled/bought.
  • FOOD. There are ALOT of samples but you are going to want an actual meal, so pack it in your backpack incase you want to attend something during lunch time…or if you get hungry…or tired of samples of a zillion different bars/jerky/granola/etc.
  • Start with coffee…need I say more? Plus one of the booths filled up my mug vs giving me just a sample.
  • Keep business cards on hand, you never know…I connected with some really cool people.

Below are my notes from the 1st day, I’m using this as a place to store my notes incase I should lose or ruin my notepad.I’ll post day 2 and 3’s notes in separate post so it doesn’t get super long!
