The “Balls and Dolls” I AM Recap

Over the past 8 weeks I have had the pleasure of coaching 10 individuals in creating a better self. They goal setting at the beginning, food logged for 8 weeks, and did additional workouts. They sacrificed some things to make bigger gains! Over this time I watched these athletes stay after class to for a 5min pull up EMOM, create habits in their food and behavior, and hit lots of new PRs (personal records) not just in their I AM Benchmarks but in class as well! They encouraged and pushed each other to be better! I’m so proud of each of these athletes and look forward to more of this goodness!

Karen Hooper:
Lost: 3.2#, 4% Body Fat and 10 inches!!
Benchmark Results: Finished the run on the 3rd round…last time made it out for the run on the 3rd round
Here is what Karen’s daughter had to say about her mom’s results: My @hoopie2012 started at @crossfitcentral almost exactly a year ago… Every days she’s a new and confident woman. For the last 8 weeks she has taken on our #IAmCrossFit challenge, increased her time in the kitchen and in the gym, and continued to build on the good habits she has gained over the last year. She.kicked.butt! 10 inches and 4%Body Fat lost by eating well, stepping up the healthy fat game, and crossfitting at 51. Every time I see her, her face looks younger, energy is higher and she has something awesome to tell me about this new found home cooking. I’m so proud and honored to call her my mom and thankful I get encourage her to always choose the healthy path. #mymomlooksyoungerthanyourmom
Jenny Zador:
Lost 3#, 2.6% Body Fat and 6 inches!!
Benchmark Results: went from band to no band and still improved by 40 seconds!!!
Goal Recap: Didn’t drink any alcohol for the full 8 wks…with a busy social life this was HUGE!

Lost 3.5 inches
Benchmark Results: Last time I did 9 pull-ups in round 3 at RX for clean. This time I finished all rounds at RX in 10:58 or 10:55 not that it makes much of a difference.
Goal Recap: Became much more efficient in his kipping pull ups! We will retest is max push press next benchmark to see if there is a 10# increase

Lost 3% Body Fat
Benchmark Results: 30 second faster workout
Goal Recap: survived 8 weeks of rough 2 months of work!
Alex:
Lost 3.8% Body Fat and 10 Inches
Benchmark Results:
Goal Recap: Put all his running goals aside and completed his 1st Marathon this past February!
Matthew:
Lost 4#, 1% Body Fat and 3 Inches
Benchmark Results: Shaved a minute off my benchmark time for an 8 minute finish time.
Goal Recap: (1) is within 1 second of finishing a 400m run in under 60secs (2) within 5 seconds of running a 6min mile (3) CRUSHED his 60 unbroken double under goal (4) lost body fat and gained muscle
Greg:
Lost 1% Body Fat and .
Benchmark Results: Initial – made 7 pull ups into round 3. Final – completed the workout in 10:48
Goal Recap: (1) dominated his 5 UB kipping pull up goal (2) Dominated 10 chest to ground perfect push ups…within the fist week (3) Lost body fat!
Liz:
Lost: 1.25 Inches
Benchmark Results: Unable to attend final workout due to work
Goal Recap: Her goal results will come in a few weeks when she does her fireman test!
Michelle:
Lost 10.5#, 4.1% Body Fat, 15.5 Inches
Benchmark Results: I didn’t finish last time – only got 2/3 of the way through the run in the final round. This time, finished in 9:36.
GOAL RECAP:
(1) I will lost 10# by March 8th….CHECK!
(2) I will run an 8:30 mile (currently at a 10min mile by march 8th)….Ran an 8:07 mile on March 6th
(3) I will reduce body fat by 4pts by March 8th…CHECK!
(4) I will complete 1 wall walk by March 8th…CHECK!
(5) I will complete 1 kipping pull up by March 8th…no official pull up but has made GREAT progress now can perform the kip part
