Today is #NationalRandomActsOfLightDay, YEAA!!!! My favorite way to shine some light is to say thank you when people least expect it. The Thank-Yous that I’m talking about are the ones for when you unload on a friend unexpectedly and they just sit there and listen to your troubles without saying a word. If you like to shed light by saying thank you in a fun way, I have a fun project for you…check THIS out!

#NationalPeanutButterCookieDay

A soft, warm, peanut butter cookie is my second favorite cookie ONLY to a soft, warm, chocolate chunk peanut butter cookie which will always be number one. Something about soft, warm, chocolate + peanut (or almond) butter cookie makes my heart go pitter patter! With it being #NationalPeanutButterCookieDay of course I went in search of a healthy version of the peanut butter cookie. With Elana’s Pantry being my go-to for healthy version of my favorite treats (and most dishes), I didn’t have to far to find THIS. If you make a batch I have no problem being your taste tester!

Last Minute Mother’s Day Gifts For Fit Mommas

Last Minute Mother’s Day Gifts For Fit Mommas

“I thought about giving up, but then I remembered who is watching”

Is your Mom a fitness enthusiast and you are well…not quite one BUT you want to give her something to fuel her over joyous (maybe slightly annoying) passion for exercise…no worries, we got you covered. Below are some fitness related gifts for you to surprise your loving mother (or other fabulous women in your life) with and remain the favorite (thats my plan anyways).
Disclosure: There are some affiliate links below, but these are all products I highly recommend. I won’t put anything on this page that I haven’t verified and/or personally used.
  • FitBit. Is your mom obsessed with tracking everything…her workouts, her nutrition, her PRs? While you might find it very annoying, tracking her steps/activity is another metric to add to the data collection that is keeping her moving. Fitbit has done a great job at not only making a great athletic watch/tracker, they have also managed to add a “dressy” touch to it. This means she can wear her Fitbit Flex 2 (this is the one I have) even if she is dressed up by moving the tracker into more of a decorative covering such as a bangle or a pendant. My favorite part about Fitbit is the challenges it allows you to created between 2-10 people. I don’t know about you, but I don’t want my mom to outstep me…challenge accepted! PS there is a sale until May 12th
  • TRX. Does your mom have home gym set up she spends a lot of time in? Or does she travel a lot and works out while traveling? The TRX is perfect for both of these situations. You can do so many things with the TRX AND it can be hung any where…playground, tree limb, luggage rack…the possibilities are endless, just like the amount of exercises you can do with it. There are many different ones to chose from but I think the TRX HOME2 is a great option. PLUS they are having a sale!
  • Fringe Sport. If you live in Austin, TX you are in luck because this company has a store front where you could go test out the product before you buy it…but if you are unathletic, you can just take the employees advice on what they say. If you don’t live in Austin its okay because they ship and a lot of times its for free dollars! Fringe Sports offers great equipment at a great price. This means if your mom works out at home, or is building a little home gym…giving her more equipment is just what her little heart will desire Some items I would suggest, Don’t take my word on it, here are their BEST SELLING items. But below are some of my favorites:
    • Sandbags. On the things she could do with this. Run with it, walk with it. slam it. throw it…I could go on and on but I would sound like that line from Bubba Gump talking about shrimp. DIYing sandbags always seem like a good idea till you are cover in sand when doing a Turkish Get Up…don’t know what that is? Ask your mom, I bet she can tell you!
    • Kettlebells. On the possibilities with these things. They are a MUST in a home gym because they are versatile. If she doesn’t know exactly what to do with this I have a PDF available that has movement videos to go along with it. Also all of the Living Amped Bootcamp Programs use a kettlebell (Month 1 is free). Use ILOVEUMOM18 code for 50% till May 31st, 2018.
    • Bodyweight WOD Pack. This pack is full of goodness. These are all great items that can be used in the garage gym or in her class at the gym. Every piece of equipment in there is of strong value ESPECIALLY if your mom crossfits.
  • Trigger Point. If your mom hasn’t told you enough, I’m going to do it one more time….Recovery is just as important as the workout. I can promise you she is benefiting when she is rolling around on those little balls and rollers…there is a method to the madness, I promise. How she takes care of herself when she isn’t working out is just as important as the benefits of working out. Trigger Point is a company that has a wide variety of products to help with just that, recovery. There are a wide range of items, and all would make great gifts, but to keep it simple I would suggest the Quadballer, GRID Foam Roller (both short and long), or the AcuCurve Cane
  • Reebok. When you look good, you feel good, when you feel good, you do good…and I agree. I know when I am rocking some new workout clothes or shoes I feel amazing which makes my workouts that much better/tolerable! Your mom would look great in Reebok’s latest shoe, the Nano 8 Flexweave, especially if it is customized. One year I gave my mom a pair of customize nanos in her favorite color with her name on the side. Not only did she love them, but they were a HIT with her coach and her fellow worker-outers. If you are getting her new shoes you should got ahead and get her a new tank…my FAVORITE tank from here is THIS one. PS You can get 25% off site wide through May 13th with code MOM!
  • Compete Every Day. This is a great company….and they have awesome apparel…with a great message. They just came out with an all weather jacket too! I have a zillion of tanks from them so it would be impossible for me to give you my favorite but I wore THIS one the other day and got lots of compliments…so I’m 100% sure your mom could rock their clothing. Use code FIERCEPIERCE at checkout for a discount!
I’m also a pinterest addict, and have a board titled  “Gifts For Fitness Enthusiast” where you can find A LOT of other items that would make for great gifts for your Fit Momma!
HAPPY MOTHER’S DAY to all you fit mommas out there who are leading by example. I know it isn’t easy a lot of the time, but you continue to push, sweat, grunt through not just workouts but life. We…your children, your nieces and nephews, your Godchildren..are watching your every move and we want to be like you when we grow up. So please stay moving and taking care of yourself because we are following in your footsteps.
