Natural Medicine Chest

Echinacea – A natural immune booster. Great at onset of illness

Oil of Oregano – A powerful antibiotic and anti fungal. Oregano has many other benefits, among these: relief of digestive problems, migraine headaches, athletes foot, sore throat, breathing problems, dandruff (and other skin problems)

Astragalus – Astragalus is said to have mild antiviral properties and may help with the prevention of colds. It may have a diuretic effect which would lower blood pressure and it may cause blood vessels to relax.

Grapefruit Seed Extract (GSE) – Also contains antibacterial, antiviral and antifungal proprieties. It has been recommended by some nutritionists for the treatment of candidiasis, earache, throat infections and diarrhea.

Oscillococcinum – Used for temporary relief of symptoms of flue such as fever chills, body aches and pains. The flu (influenza) is a highly infectious viral disease. Homeopathic preparations, such as oscillococinum or similar products, are often prescribed by homeopaths for the prevention and treatment of the flueOscillo is used by millions of people and recommended by doctors around the world.

CranActin– Aids in healthy urinary tract function. Helps fight urinary tract infection.

Colloidal Silver – antibacterial and antiviral

Xyletol – This comes as anasal spray or as a solution that you add to salt water and sniff to cleanse the nose nad sius cavities. It coats these cavities and creates a barrier in the nucus membrane which bacteria and viruses cannot penetrate.

Tee Tree Oil – Tea tree oil contains consituents called terpenoides, which have been found to have antiseptic and anti fungal activity. It can be used alone or in mixtures for many uses including oral hygiene, skin problems, sinus problems and household cleaning products.

Pepto-Bismol – Used to treat upset stomach symptoms such as diarrhea, nausea, and heartburn.

Goldenseal (powder and capsules)- Recommened using this to help your baby’s umbilical cord stump heal properly. It has been used for many centruires to treat skin disorders, digestive problems, liver conditions, diarrhea, and eye irritations.

Arnica (gel and tablets) – Arnica aids in healing minor skin injuries, as well as internal problems such as carpal tunnel and sore muscles.

Aloe Vera – Aloe is a wonderful skin soother used for burns, scrapes and irritation. It can be taken directly from the leaf of the aloe plant and bought in stores. You can also benefit greatly from drinking aloe vera juice which heals many stomach problems and is regularly used to rebuild the lining of the stomach which affected by celiac disease, allergies, and other GI problems.

Sambucol – Sambucol is a unique extract of black elderberry, a centuries-old herbal remedy now recognized as nature’s richest source of anthocyanins, a class of flavonoids that are thought to help stimulate the body’s immune response. It has been suggested that Sambucol may be similar to the prescription flue medication Relenza.

Green or White Clay – We recommend clay for bug bites, pimples, boils, and many other skin irritations. You can by clay at most health food stores.
