Meet My Mom!

After I created Project X,  I asked my Mom to participate to make sure things “flowed” well.At the 2 week check in period she is down:

7 pounds + 7 inches

Thats huge…go Mom! She also stated in her text with me, “Must confess that I FEEL about 200% better, too“. To me that feeling part is A LOT better than any number! I wanted to get her perspective on her experience so I interviewed her 🙂 The other date, are a few results from previous people that have gone through Project X. As always, I’m here for questions!

Please give us a little background on yourself. I am a 60 year old female. I have been up and down as far as weight loss goes…currently up. I CrossFit about 3 times a week.

Why did you start Project X? I signed up as a way to help Karen, the developer, (OK, she’s my daughter, too!) work out any glitches in the signup process. I also helped her edit, so I read every word! It seemed to be a VERY EASY plan to follow. Food choices were limited, but there was no EXACT plan to follow. If I have a butt load of chicken, I can eat it for every meal if I need to. I have also been having some knee “issues” that I’m pretty sure could be lessened by taking off some of this extra weight. What did I have to lose? How is it going for you right now? I am on day 15 and was MOST SURPRISED when I did my body comps this morning to discover that I’ve lost 7 pounds and 7 inches! I can’t wait to reevaluate in 2 more weeks!

What exactly is Project X in your words? Can you explain this for those that are unfamiliar with it? Project X is a very simple fitness plan. It reminded me of the old “Deal a Meal” cards where you choose a card from each pocket at every meal. There are 3 meals and 2 snacks every day. Each consist of a protein, a carb, and a fat. Evidence is that this combination is best for overall health. There are specific weights/measures for each portion of your meal, though. One of my problems is portion control. I will add that I have NEVER felt hungry. There are also body weight workouts. Things that can be done with no equipment (other than ordinary household items) and done anywhere. If you travel, these are great. Meal prep is encouraged, although I will confess I have done little of it. I am home most meals and measuring each time is not usually difficult. I can see, though, that it would be VERY helpful and hope to get into it soon.

How can a person benefit from Project X? The key to success in any fitness plan is planning. This lays it all out for you and gives you all the tools you need to follow.

How have you benefited from it? For the first time in a LONG time I am PLANNING. I am making sure I have the right foods available so I won’t just grab whatever is handy. 7 pounds 7 inches in 14 days! I’d say I’m benefitting from it a LOT!

Is the value worth the price point? Absolutely! Just compare it to any other plan. You get SO much for your dollars with Project X.

Would you recommend Project X to any one? YES! ANYONE. The simplicity is key. I’ve never been overwhelmed with too much to consider. Confession: I got a little bored with the food choices by about day 13…but then I was starting Week 3 and there are a whole bunch of new choices! The limits really do help you focus. Another confession: There were 2 nights where dinner was wine, cheese and crackers and one night I had to attend a “Tasting” where I ate Lord knows what. I just started fresh the next day.

Project X (click HERE or on image to left) is a four week program to help guide you no matter where you are on the road to health and fitness. “X” represents your why. It can be whatever you want it to be…a goal you want to achieve or a certain pair of pants you want to fit into. It can even be a feeling or an upcoming trip you are preparing for. X is up to you!
